ABOUT Jin
Jin is a watercolor artist. She commissions custom pieces, sells prints of original art, and has illustrated children’s books. She paints at the kitchen table, surrounded by the chaos and love that comes with having 3 children under the age of 5. Her pieces often showcase the raw beauty of motherhood and womanhood.
The Photo Session
Because her art to often depicts motherhood realness, it was obvious to me that her children should be present. Oftentimes as working stay at home mothers, we try to hard to keep it together and present an ideal to our clients. In reality we are pulling all-night-ers to finish a piece and then spend the next day as a mombie. Jin’s art does not shy away from the realities of being a momprenuer with young children, and I felt her photo shoot shouldn’t either.
